  • Michael’s (neighbor) hat

I have been working on an additional hat for my neighbors kiddies, and finished this one (for Michael) this evening. I’m a fan of stripes it seems.

    Hat, youth; variated striped

    Details coming soon.

Loom: Green KK Round (36 pegs)
    Yarn:
    Stitch: Double-yarn E-wrap

  • Chris’s hat (adult; blue and white)

After completing the scarf for Chris I wanted to make a hat to match. The first attempt was made on the Green KK Round Loom with a single e-wrap, and was too stretchy. The following was made with a thick yarn (single e-wrap), with the stripe consisting of a double-yarn e-wrap.

    Hat, adult; blue and grey

Loom: Yellow KK Round (41 pegs)
Yarn: Lion Brand, Wool-Ease Thick & Quick, Denim Twist (color 194); Bernat, Softee Chunky, Grey Ragg (color 39047)
Stitch: E-wrap single for Denim Twist, double-yarn E-wrap for Grey Ragg

  • Youth hat, green & white

I have started to do some hats for my neighbor’s kids, and here is the first one that I’ve completed.

    Hat, youth; green & white

Loom: Red KK Round (31 pegs)
Yarn: Lion Brand, Wool-Ease Worsted Medium, Wheat (color 402); Lion Brand, Wool-Ease Worsted Medium, Forest Green Heather (color 180)
    Stitch: E-wrap, double-yarn

  • Hat, double yarn (12/28)

After completing my striped hat, I created this hat using two strands of yarn on the green round loom. I also followed a standard “pattern” for a hat that I found on one of the mailing lists which suggested 14 rows (folded to form a 7 row brim), and then 24 rows from the top of the brim to the top of the hat. This hat has a closer knit to it (due to the double yarn), and will be the standard for future hat projects.

    Hat Flat - 28 December 2007

Loom: Green KK Round (36 pegs)
Yarn: Red Heart, Worsted Medium 5oz, Fleck (color 4334)
    Stitch: E-wrap, double-yarn

  • Hat, striped

I completed this hat on Christmas Day as family slept and watched movies. I had just finished the multi-color hat, and wanted to try a single strand of yarn knit for a hat to see how it turned out.

    Hat Striped

Loom: Green KK Round (36 pegs)
Yarn: Lion Brand, Wool-Ease worsted Weight (3oz), Wheat (Color 402) – primary color; Lion Brand, Wool-Ease (3oz), Denim Twist (color 194) – stripe color
    Stitch: E-wrap, single

Notes: This hat is a lot looser than the multi-color hat given the yarn used. Next hat will be double yarn.
